F1/Carbon GMT concept watch by John Pszeniczny

Inspired by the thrilling world of Formula 1 racings, an industrial designer John Pszeniczny has created a marvelous piece of time-telling art. Called F1/Carbon GMT, the watch consists (or would have consisted, since it’s clearly only a 3D rendering and the timepiece never existed in a physical form) of carbon fiber, Swarovski crystal, rubber and metal.

Looking like a derivative of another John’s work, the Luna Watch, the F1/Carbon GMT sports the same toroid shape, looking like a Formula 1 tire designed for a rainy weather.
If ever built, the timepiece would clearly be qualified as a GMT watch since it would be able to tell current time at all of 18 F1 circuits including the famous German Hockenheimring, the legendary American Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Hungarian Hungaroring, which I am the most nostalgic of, since this was the first time that I saw a Formula 1 race not on a TV screen, but in real life. An unforgettable experience, that was.
Being a sporty watch, the F1/Carbon GMT also features a built in lap timer function as well as a stopwatch.
Throw in a simple GSM module and Bluetooth connectivity and this watch will be of great success if John manages to sell the design to some gadgets manufacturer.

Neat looking, but I can’t imagine anyone manufacturing something like it any time soon.

Frankly, I can’t see significant technical problems in putting the watch on to assembly line.
