Hublot Big Bang in Red for Valentine’s Day 2010

Just like Omega did it with its Omega De Ville 4-Counters Co-Axial Chronograph, Hublot is trying to cash in on the next Valentine’s Day. It targets ladies watch market, though.
Unlike the Valentine Big Bang Red Gold Diamond released two years ago that featured gold, more gold, and even more gold with a total of 108 of diamonds on its bezel, the new Hublot Big Bang in Red is more discreet (if you can use the adjective at all when it comes to watches from Hublot.)

Compared to the aforementioned Big Bang Red Gold Diamond, the rose gold is replaced with white ceramic that gives the watch a little ‘plastic,’ Web 2.0-style look (Hello, Apple!), a stainless steel bezel with their signature H-shaped screws takes place of the rose gold one (although one could rightly expect the steel to be replaced with white gold) and a Swiss quartz movement takes place of the HUB 4100 automatic caliber.
Although the case is now only 38 mm in diameter, the total number of diamonds on its bezel is slightly larger — around 114 if my calculations are correct.
All in all, this one looks a lot more elegant and even dressier than the rose gold model. And it will surely match her iPod!
