The young jewelry brand of Turkish origin is going to present its new Peter Tanisman Carrousel Fantasia ladies watch at the upcoming international industry show Baselworld 2011 set to open in March.
The Peter Tanisman Carrousel Fantasia is a re-incarnation of another Carrousel watch that was presented last year.
The new version of the timekeeper comes powered not by an automatic caliber, but by a simpler ETA E01.701 quartz movement (the same engine was employed in the last year’s Dussert Tri Zone DW400 Limited Edition GMT watch.) However, it still looks much more alive and cheerful with its hundreds of diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires with a total weight of 2.34 carats.
The dial that somehow reminds me of a backgammon board with checkers made of 14 emeralds, 20 rubies and 14 blue sapphires, is also new and is very entertaining.
The rotating cylinder set between the lower horns is still here. I still do not understand its function. Probably, it is here just for the fun of it.
As you cans see on the photo, the case is set with 161 baguette diamonds that cover every millimeter of its surface.
I am not sure, how much money Peter Tanisman plans to charge for this piece of Byzantine beauty, but it will surely be very expensive.
