The French luxury fashion brand will soon introduce its new Louis Vuitton Voyagez Tambour automatic chronograph watch.
Although in whole LV’s collection of time measuring devices I am more or less in love only with their gorgeous Tambour Travel Alarm Clock, their wrist watches keep getting more and more appealing every year.
The new Louis Vuitton Voyagez Tambour Chronograph, which is going to be presented later this month in Basel, offers a nicely executed mid-sized stainless steel case 44 millimeters in diameter and a sporty-looking strap made of naturally-colored carbon fiber.
Like it is the case with all chronographs, the Voyagez Tambour’s dial is busy with data and is not very legible. The three totalizers that are placed on the same visual axis, while quite large, look not easy to use.
However, visually the dial is well-balanced with the LV logo and the large Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock perfectly balanced with a white date aperture at 6 o’clock.
The chronograph pushers and the winding crown also look very refined.
Sources say that the watch will be offered sometime in June, 2011 and will wear an affordable €5000 price tag.
Since the brand mostly targets consumers in China, the watch will probably first go on sale on this huge and seemingly insatiable market.
