Surprisingly, Panerai did not present anything revolutionary at the SIHH 2011. Instead, they kept building on the success of the last year`s model range. Among such successful updates was the hand-wound Radiomir 8 Days Ceramica PAM 384.

Jaquet Droz SW Chronograph is Highly Unusual
Revealed at the beginning of the year, the 2010 Jaquet Droz SW Chronograph (ref. J029530409) is one of the most attractive models in JD’s current collection of sporty timekeepers. Featuring the laconic bi-compax layout, an easily readable big date indicator, and a pair of partially open-worked hour and minute hands with nice yellow-orange Superluminova on them, this elegant timekeeper is an ultimate “tool” for the few survivors of the nuclear Holocaust.
IWC 98300-Based Ralph Lauren Sporting
The U.S.-based fashion brand Ralph Lauren is serious about its attempt to expand its reach beyond expensive clothing and luxury accessories and to become a real watchmaking specialist even though they still can’t afford to make their movements. At the SIHH 2011 trade show, the fashion house has presented its vintage-styled (or, rather, vintage-inspired) Sporting Collection. Featuring a hand-wound “pocket watch” caliber from IWC, it comes in a deliberately oversized case that serves as a (pretty massive, I must note) steel frame for the “historic”, speedometer-styled dial.
IWC Ingenieur Edition Zinedine Zidane Edition IW500508
The French soccer player has once again partnered with IWC to offer the second “special edition” of the Ingenieur Edition Zinedine Zidane (Ref. IW500508) model, which is now limited to only 500 units.
Bvlgari Diagono Chronograph GMT X-Pro
The Italian fashion and jewelry house will soon start selling its new Bvlgari Diagono Chronograph GMT X-Pro COSC-certified chronometer.
Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono Blacksteel 1000M
Breitling Avenger Seawolf Chrono Blacksteel SuperQuartz is the world’s first chronograph that was built to operate at depth up to 1000 meters, if need be. Delivered in an imposing carbon-reinforced stainless steel case, the new ahem technically limited edition timekeeper justifies its impressive price with bold styling and one of the most accurate quartz mechanisms out there. After all, there are not so many divers that are officially certified as chronometers.
