Swiss Watches

Officially unveiled last month during the Baselworld 2011 international trade show, the new Concord C1 BlackSpider LAB Series (ref. 0320143) hand-wound watch features a tourbillon escapement which is visible through the skeletonized, arachnid-shaped baseplate of its hand-made movement. While its exterior design may not look as outrageous as that of the iconic Ulysse Nardin Freak Diavolo, I can see why the young Swiss-based watchmaker seems to be so proud about their new creation.

First officially revealed at Baselworld 2011, the new Hamilton Pan Europ (ref. H35716545) automatic chronograph watch is a tribute to the 1971 model that was issued under the same name. No wonder why its total production run is limited to only 1971 pieces.

Rodania Linius Automatic Swiss Watches

The new Rodania Linius automatic wristwatch brings to the table the time-proven Swiss made movement, which is packed inside an interesting-looking stainless steel body. The movement in question is the good old ETA 2824-2 self-winding blank caliber: the usual suspect when it comes to choosing an engine to power a relatively inexpensive timekeeper when having a "Swiss Made" inscription on a dial is a must.

Rado True Thinline Ultra-Thin Ladies watch / Quartz watches / Swiss Watches

Presented last month at Baselworld 2011 trade show, the new Rado True Thinline series of ultra-thin luxury watches is powered by the world's thinnest quartz movement that is encased in the world's thinnest ceramic body that is secured on your wrist using the world's thinnest rubber strap with a ceramic buckle. Currently available in two color combinations (white, ref. R27957109, and black, ref. R27741159,) the timepiece is predictably expensive, but not prohibitively so if you take into account the material it is crafted from.

The new Mido Multifort Bicolor 42mm (ref. M005.430.22.031.80) automatic wristwatch offers you the same easily recognizable Multifort exterior that is finally available in a slightly dressier execution than your normal "plain steel" execution. Like many recent products revealed by Swiss-based watchmaking brands, the watch was first shown last month at Baselworld 2011 trade show.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona Swiss Watches

At Baselworld 2011 show the major Swiss watchmaker has updated its Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona (ref. 116515LN) family with a model that combines the Everose case with a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel. And, yes: thanks to the winning combination of colors and textures, it really looks fantastic.
