Steinhart Nav.B-Chrono 47 Baumuster B Grey Edition (ref. 106-0877) Swiss Watches

Earlier this year, the German watchmaker Steinhart has issued their new take on the concept of a "vintage-modern pilot's watch". Successfully blending vintage exterior with a classic caliber and modern CNC machinery, the new Steinhart Nav.B-Chrono 47 Baumuster B Grey Edition (ref. 106-0877) offers, perhaps, the best "value for money" ratio for those interested in buying a relatively affordable brand new pilot's timekeeper.

Breitling Navitimer Aviator 8 B01 Chronograph 43 Limited Edition in Collaboration with MR PORTER Swiss Watches

Created in collaboration with MR PORTER, one of their major partners that sells all things luxury, the new Breitling Navitimer Aviator 8 B01 Chronograph 43 is limited to just 1000 pieces, packs a great in-house chronograph caliber, and, as real estate agents like to say, is priced to sell in a market over-saturated with equally elegant pilot's watches produced by well-established brands like Omega and IWC.

Montblanc TimeWalker Automatic Chronograph UTC Ceramic (ref. 116101) Swiss Watches

Unveiled earlier this year at Baselworld 2017, the new Montblanc TimeWalker Automatic Chronograph UTC Ceramic (ref. 116101) wristwatch like a nice (if a bit overpriced to my taste) addition to the Swiss-based maker's of luxury "writing instruments" that also happens to sell watches line of sporty chronographs. While some of the main selling points of this new watch -like, say, the choice of movement, as well as the combination of materials- look more "acceptable" to yours truly rather than even mildly "exciting," we at WorldWatchReview.com would still recommend getting one of these oversized pieces of, um, time-measuring opulence if the price is not a problem.

Breitling for Bentley Supersports B55 Connected in Titanium Quartz watches / Swiss Watches

The new Breitling for Bentley Supersports B55 Connected offers you the same list of amenities as their earlier "hybrid" smart watches that was first revealed about two years ago, but in a styling that is so loved by thousands of Bentley fans. Reassuringly overpriced and deliciously archaic, it will probably feature one of the lowest "value for money" ratios in the Swiss watchmaker's whole product range, yet it's not the mythical "value" that allows Breitling to continue being one of the brands for those who love deadly planes and fast cars.

Alpina Startimer Pilot Automatic Chronograph (refs. AL-725B4S6, AL-725GR4S6 & AL-725N4S6) Swiss Watches

The new Alpina Startimer Pilot automatic chronograph wristwatch (refs. AL-725B4S6, AL-725GR4S6 & AL-725N4S6) is available in three colors of its laconic, extremely sober dial and in two colors of the geunuine leather strap. It is a bit expensive, many people may (and probably will) call it boring, and it is clearly not a match to majors like IWC and Omega in terms of mojo and percieved value, yet the combination of a highly ergonomic design, reliable mechanism and acceptable price make it a very nice everyday watch for a person who can afford one.

Eterna Super Kontiki Chronograph Automatic (refs. 7770.41.49.1382 & 7770.41.49.1718) Swiss Watches

Recently bought by a Chinese investment holding company, the Swiss-based watchmaker Eterna keeps on churning out great (while a bit overpriced) time measuring devices that also happen to be quite elegant accessories. Although clearly far from being "groundbreaking," their new Eterna Super Kontiki Chronograph (refs. 7770.41.49.1382 & 7770.41.49.1718) collection of self-winding diving watches was presented earlier this year and is now available not only in the brand's numerous stores around the world, but also at some online retailers albeit at very small discounts.

2016 Breitling Chronoliner Triple Time-Zone Chronograph Limited Edition Swiss Watches

If you noticed the sporty Chronoliner collection from last year, but decided to pass on it for the lack of bling, this new 2016 Breitling Chronoliner Triple Time-Zone Chronograph limited edition model may make you want to reconsider. Preserving the same energetic (some may even call it assertive) styling of the original, the new watch comes in a lot dressier rose gold case that, thanks to careful balancing the mix of materials and textures somehow manages not to look too offending and arrogant in all of its polished rose gold and glossy ceramic glory.

IWC Ingenieur Chronograph “W 125” Limited Edition in Titanium (Ref. IW380701) Swiss Watches

First presented earlier this year at Baselworld 2016, the new IWC Ingenieur Chronograph "W 125" (ref. IW380701) limited edition automatic wristwatch comes in a nice -if somewhat bulky due to its 42 mm wide to 15 mm high proportions- titanium case that features an appealing combination of mirror-polished front surfaces that are lovely accented by deliberately roughly brushed sides. Set to go on sale in just three or four months (the Swiss watchmakers mentions "autumn" in its press release), the new member of the legendary Ingenieur family will be offered at a competitive -all things considered- price of just over $7000 USD.
