Grand Seiko Sport Collection Spring Drive GMT Limited Edition (Ref. SBGE245G) Japanese watches

In a matter of days, the Japanese conglomerate Seiko will start selling the new Grand Seiko Sport Collection Spring Drive GMT Limited Edition (Ref. SBGE245G) hybrid-powered wristwatch. With the luxury gadget being limited to the Japanese domestic market, the watch will be a bit difficult to come by if you happen to live on the other side of the globe. Yet, the device is so beautiful, so impressive that is seems to be absolutely worth going into all the trouble to get one.

Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days GMT Automatic Acciaio (ref. PAM 627) Swiss Watches

During the 26th Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH 2016,) the Italian brand has presented a number of new watches. Among them was this gorgeous (but in a very modest way) Panerai Radiomir 1940 3Days GMT Acciaio (ref. PAM 627) automatic wrist watch that features their brand new Caliber P.4001 movement with micro-rotor design. Although the watchmaker didn't dare to steep too far away from the time-proven design that Radiomir collection is known for, the watch still looks fresh and attractive thanks to the waffle-style dial finish that they, unfortunately, use only on a very limited number of models.

Bell & Ross WW1-97 Heritage Automatic (ref. BRWW197-HER-ST/SCR) Swiss Watches

The new Bell & Ross WW1-97 Heritage Automatic (ref. BRWW197-HER-ST/SCR) delivers the familiar mix of well-calculated design, which is both elegant and masculine, and a bullet-proof mechanism, which is both reliable and accurate, all of them offered at a relatively affordable price that makes this new creation one of the best choices in the "Value for Money" category.

Oris Big Crown ProPilot Calibre 111 Hand-Wound Swiss Watches

The new Oris Big Crown ProPilot Calibre 111, as the name implies, is powered by the Swiss brand's new Caliber 111 hand-wound movement. Developed and built on their own premises, the beautiful mechanism not only makes this new timekeeper even more exclusive, but also shows quite clearly that Oris has enough resources to make a wonderful caliber that, at least in terms of functionality and efficiency, rivals those recently introduced by a lot more established watchmaking houses.

Tudor North Flag with MT5621 Manufacture Caliber Swiss Watches

If the Swiss-based watchmaking brand really wants to get rid of its image of a 'poor man's Rolex', this new Tudor North Flag that seems to be designed as a new flagship model of the company seems to be a step in the right direction. At least, the combination of an in-house mechanism, a cleverly designed case, an elegantly simple dial, and the famous Tudor Rose right below the Arabic numeral "12" make a very strong impression. Whatever the next model be, the brand clearly doesn't plan to dwell on its past forever.

Ball Watch Engineer Hydrocarbon Hunley Automatic Diver (Ref. PM2096B-S1J-BK) Swiss Watches

Although the new Ball Watch Engineer Hydrocarbon Hunley Automatic Diver (Ref. PM2096B-S1J-BK) still features that "polarizing" patented crown guard system as previous iterations of the watch, it is still one of the most elegant members of the growing family. As refined as a diving watch can be, it is also not really expensive sporting a price tag around $1000 lower than that of an IWC Aquatimer.

Chopard L.U.C 8HF Power Control Automatic (Ref. 168575-9001) Swiss Watches

The new Chopard L.U.C 8HF Power Control wristwatch (Ref. 168575-9001) not only features one of the best examples of European industrial design, but also offers a very unusual high-beating movement that, while being twice as fast as your average caliber, also manages to work for as long as 60 hours: a remarkable achievement in this extremely rarely populated class.
