The 2011 Mühle Glashütte Marinus GMT (ref. M1-28-53-KB) diver offers the right combination of useful water resistance rating of 30 ATM together with a 24-hour second time zone indication courtesy of a Swiss-made automatic movement. All of that at an affordable price.

A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Automatic in Rose Gold (Ref. 380.032)

The A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia is now available in a slightly larger, but better-proportioned case crafted from 18-karat rose gold: growing both in diameter and thickness the new (Ref. 380.032) counterintuitively looks thinner than the previous version of the piece that featured a hand-wound caliber inside its compact body.

Hanhart Primus Chronograph Makes a Lasting Impression

January 31, 2011

Hanhart Primus Chronograph Diver automatic diving watch

Hanhart is not as well-known outside of Germany as their competitors from Sinn or, say, Mühle Glashütte. Yet, even if they feel uncomfortable about that, I am sure that they still can find solace in knowing that there are not so many independent brands out there that enjoy an as long history of making fine watches as they do. Established in Switzerland back in 1882, Hanhart now operates on the other side of the border in a German town of Gütenbach, Baden-Württemberg. Preparing for its 130th anniversary, the watchmaking specialist will soon present its new collection of chronographs. The sporty Primus Chronograph Diver is one of them.

UTS Adventure GMT Diver

With its impressive water resistance rating of 50 ATM and a nicely executed cushion-shaped body, the new UTS Adventure GMT diver is the first timepiece from the German brand that can be used not only as a tool, but as an accessory, too (of course, only if you don’t mind its hefty weight and the deliberately oversized body, which is around 46 millimeters in width).

Sporty and Aggressive: Chronoswiss Pacific Collection

November 24, 2010

Chronoswiss Pacific Collection (ref. CH-7582)

Chronoswiss -a luxury brand that was established almost three decades ago in Munchen, but then moved to its current location in Lucerne, Switzerland- will soon start selling the new Pacific Collection that includes a pair of chronographs and a three-hander. As usual, all versions are powered by Swiss-made movements. According to the officially disseminated specification lists, the new timekeepers will be presented in slightly oversized bodies 43 millimeters in diameter that seem to be absolutely adequate for the sporty-styled watches with their aggressive color accents and energetically sculpted elements.
