Like the just refreshed Portuguese 7-Days Power Reserve chronograph that IWC plans to introduce either at the SIHH 2010 or a little bit later at the Baselworld show, the 2010 Portuguese Chronograph in Rose Gold (ref. IW371482) has also received a minor update for the next year. It will be presented at the same event.
The Swiss luxury brand Omega has just revealed a pair of new members of their Constellation Double Eagle collection. Available in titanium and red gold, both chronographs will be sold as Double Eagle Mission Hills Numbered Edition. Yes, they may be not as sober and stern as the De Ville collection, but they surely look as stately as one can possibly get.
While doing my research on another great affordable timepiece from this manufacturer, the M108 automatic model, I came across this beautiful Marvin M109.54.43.64 with a trendy open-heart design. While I still plan to write a small review of the M108, I just can't help to stop for a moment or two and make a piece regarding this affordable, yet expensive-looking model.
Baume et Mercier will soon start selling its limited-edition William Baume Monopusher Chronograph (ref. M0A08802). The new model will be produced in a small lot of only 20 units. Although not as high-ranked in terms of brand value as Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, or even IWC, Baume amp; Mercier nevertheless enjoys a good reputation as a serious watchmaker that sells a high-quality product, which is not only finely crafted but is also a great pleasure to look at.
Eberhard & Co.'s new take on the hand-wound 8 Jours collection offers impressive 8 days of power reserve. Although preserving the same basic dial layout with seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock and the power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock, the 8 Jours Grande Taille grew slightly bigger to match today's standards and now sports a more modern appearance with more prominent lugs and a cleaner design.
