Sinn, a brand that is mostly known for its professional-grade diving tools, starts taking pre-orders for its new Sinn U200 B (EZM 8) Special Edition for hardcore diving enthusiasts. Available for orders from October and till 31 December 2013, the new diver features Sinn’s signature styling and comes in a nice presentation box with a spare NATO-style textile strap and a set of instruments to make installing the band easier.
The 2008 Sinn U2 Meisterbund.III is a professional-grade diver that was created exclusively for the Japanese market. The special-edition diving tool is a sort of “hybrid” that takes the best features of the German brand’s bestselling models and splices them into this brilliant package. Featuring a relatively compact body crafted from a highly corrosion-resistant steel alloy used for making submarine hulls, this limited edition looks like it was inspired by nothing less than a modern nuclear submarine.
The German brand will soon start selling its new Sinn EZM 10 “Einsatzzeitmesser” Pilot with a 24-hour GMT display and an impressive (at least, for a pilot’s watch) water resistance rating of whole 200 meters. As the German watchmaker readily admits, the new automatic chronograph is a tribute to timekeepers that were powered by the legendary caliber Lemania 5100. No longer in production, it was adored by the German military thanks to an almost unrivaled combination of legibility and reliability that it provided. The secret, of course, was in the unique layout of its chronograph display.
