About two years ago, the Swiss watchmaker has introduced its vintage-styled Startimer Classic three-hander (Ref. AL-525SCR4S6). With a sleek, easy-to-read dial, the timekeeper looked great and probably generated good sales because for this year the company re-introduced the watch as an Alpina Startimer Pilot Sunray (Ref. AL-525GB4S6).

Oris TT3 Darryl O’Young Chronograph 774 7611 7784
You don’t have to be a Michael Schumacher (I truly hope that this man of legend gets well soon) to get your own limited-edition timepiece. Darryl O’Young, a 33-year-old racer from Hong Kong who is still to prove that he is worth the car that he drives in the World Touring Car Championship, has recently had his name put on the new Oris TT3 Darryl O’Young Limited Edition Automatic Chronograph (Ref. 774 7611 7784 Set). Based on their current TT3 model in a titanium body, it is both sporty and elegant: a rare combination that an average usually chronograph usually fails to achieve.
Alpina Startimer Black Star Chronograph 860GB4FBS6
You have probably already seen Alpina’s recent Startimer ref. Al-860GB4S6. Slightly oversized, the “aviator” features that trendy bi-compax design and elegant overall styling of its dial. For this year, the Swiss watchmaking brand introduces another version. Called Alpina Startimer Pilot Black Star Automatic Chronograph (Ref. AL-860GB4FBS6), it differs from the earlier version only with its black body finish.
Omega Reissues the 1969 Speedmaster Mark II
At the Baselworld 2014 event, Omega presented its Speedmaster Mark II 1969 Reissue (ref. 327.10.43.50.06.001) chronograph. The model delivered the same style as the iconic Speedmaster chronograph that first went on sale 45 years ago. It looks like the number of great watches inspired by the great decade is going to get yet another worthy member.
Zenith Pilot Montre d’Aeronef Type 20 GMT 1903 Edition
For the year 2014, the company delivered yet another version inspired by aviator watches of the early 20th century. Called Zenith Pilot Montre d’Aeronef Type 20 GMT 1903 Limited Edition, the device bears the same layout and dimensions, but comes with a lot more appealing “vintage” styling.
Panerai Luminor 1950 Left-Handed 3 Days (PAM 557)
Preparing for the SIHH 2014 industry event, the legendary Italian brand is about to begin yet another heavy artillery barrage of new model announcements. Among the first shells to blast the ground near you is their new Panerai Luminor 1950 Left-Handed 3 Days (PAM 557). Equipped with their in-house hand-wound caliber, the watch is designed for that strange sort of people that strum the guitar with their lefts and wear their watches on their rights.
