Glycine has finally updated its military-styled ‘Combat’ collection with a new version. Featuring a black PVD-treated case with rose gold PVD elements, the timekeeper is -sort of pretentiously- named Glycine Combat Golden Eye (Ref. 3863.399 C6-TBA9). Well, I hope that next year they will offer the same model with the bezel and crown crafted from bronze. Although not as flashy (if you can apply the adjective to such a noble alloy with its aura of adventure and glory,) on certain markets it’s going to be smashing.

Your First Swiss-Made: Certina DS1 “Double Security”
Even though Certina DS1 “Double Security” (ref. C006.407.16.088.00) offers a pretty generic design, it is a nice entry-level model for those high-school graduates still dreaming about their first dress watch with the legendary “Swiss Made” inscription on the dial, which is said to be adding at least +10 to mating abilities and +25 to personal charisma.
Archimede Pilot H Reintroduced in a Smaller Case
Around three years ago, Archimede has revealed its Pilot H limited-edition model. The Pilot H was a sort of “homage” to their successful Pilot Original that was powered by a vintage (so-called “New Old Stock”) Junghans 687 hand-wound movement. This year, the German brand decided to bet on yet another iteration of the same timekeeper that is now introduced in a smaller case. Meet the “historic” Archimede Pilot 39H!
Tribute to Bauhaus: A.B.Art Serie MA
The young Swiss-based brand has recently added the new A.B.Art Serie MA (refs. MA 101 & MA 102) collection to its growing family of simple, Bauhaus-styled timekeepers.
Dievas Focal 500M Automatic Semi-Pro Diver
Dievas maybe not be particularly famous on the west side of the Pond. Still, it doesn’t keep the brand from expanding its model range of professional (or I’d instead call them “semi-pro entry-luxury”) diving watches. The Dievas Focal automatic diver, for example, not only offers an impressive WR rating of 500 meters (50 ATM) and comes powered by a high-grade Swiss-made self-winding caliber, but also features an interesting exterior that will appeal to those in love with the legendary Bauhaus movement.
This Deep Blue Marine 500m is a Daily Diver
The U.S.-based watchmaker keeps pleasing us with new models of their inexpensive, yet lovingly designed and finely crafted timepieces. The recently introduced Deep Blue Marine Diver 500, for example, is rated for depths of 500 meters and is elegant enough to be worn on a daily basis, not just with a dry suit.
